The AQUIOS System represents a major breakthrough in clinical cytometry. It integrates autoloading, sample preparation, and powerful analysis into one compact module. It uses a bidirectional LIS interface for automated transmission of test requests and results; and both specimens and reagents are tracked via barcode to eliminate many of the most common process errors in traditional systems.

The Aquios was designed to meet all the key needs of the routine clinical lab setting: simplicity, automation, and workflow efficiency. It functions more like a hematology analyzer where the operator just loads the samples and is able to walk away to perform other functions in the lab.
